Utah Highway Patrol to Saturate Roads with DUI Troopers

The Utah Highway Patrol has announced that it will be saturating the roads with Troopers to find and arrest drunk drivers. This means they will be focusing away from other areas of their duties and directing their focus attentively to DUI observation.

Field Sobriety Tests Are Voluntary

If you get pulled over this Super Bowl Sunday and the officer asks you to do field sobriety tests remember that you do not have to do them. They are completely voluntary and the police cannot make you do them, so don’t do them.

The only test that you have to do is a chemical test such as a breathalyzer or a blood or urine test. If you refuse to do a chemical test you can lose your license for a very long time.
