The Deadly Trampoline

Trampoline Accidents a National Epidemic

A number of reports have recently surfaced reporting the continued dangers of trampolines. Although most trampolines now come with safety netting and other safety precautions there are still hundreds of thousands of trampoline accidents a year, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. As the American Academy of Pediatrics put it, trampoline accidents have become a national epidemic. Although manufacturers and others suggest certain practices to help reduce the risks – like only having one person on the trampoline at a time – the most fool proof resolution is to not own a trampoline at all.

Accident and Liability

From a legal perspective the injuries a trampoline accident might cause are not the only concern but also the liability that could come from those accidents. Depending on who is being allowed onto your property and onto your tramp there could possibly be negligence suits brought for injuries sustained on your property. With the risk of injury and the risk of being responsible for that injury it is very important to do what you can to mitigate those risks.
